Details have emerged on an update made to Tesla’s official website.
Tesla, one of the world’s largest electric car manufacturers, has added details about Dogecoin (DOGE) in an update of its payment section on its official website.
According to information on the official website, when purchasing Tesla products, payment options such as American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa and Apple Pay can be used .However, Tesla added in the notes that for some products Dogecoin can be used.
According to the crypto community, Dogecoin was previously not included on the list of payment options. However, it should be noted that DOGE cannot be used to purchase a Tesla vehicle. The meme inspired coin can only be used to purchase select merchandise.
Users attempting to purchase Tesla merchandise with DOGE will be provided a price in DOGE that is equivalent to the product for a certain amount of time, however this price is only valid for a short period of time. After some time the price will need to be refreshed due to the volatility of DOGE.
