Compelling and Compulsory: The Ongoing Enforcement of the 79-Villa Compound in Phu Quoc

As of now, authorities have taken forceful action by demolishing 19 illegally constructed villas, with an additional 7 being dismantled by the owners themselves, in a crackdown on unauthorized construction in Phu Quoc.

Enforcement authorities continue to demolish the 79-villa compound in Phu Quoc

On May 10, the People’s Committee of Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, continued the demolition of three villas in the compound of 79 illegally constructed villas in Duong To Commune, Phu Quoc City.

The villas subject to demolition belonged to Mr. T.H.T. (from Ho Chi Minh City), occupying an area of 493.6 square meters; Mr. L.V.H., with an area of 514.4 square meters; and Mr. B.V.H., with an area of 499.9 square meters.

As of now, the authorities of Phu Quoc City have demolished 19 villas, and the violators have voluntarily dismantled seven villas in the aforementioned compound of 79 illegally built villas.

Regarding this villa compound, the Kien Giang Provincial Police have also initiated a criminal case and prosecuted two defendants for “fraudulent appropriation of property.”
