As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing transaction security for our customers and complying with legal regulations, from May 15, 2024, Saigon-Hanoi Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SHB) will be adjusting and optimizing authentication methods for businesses using SHB Corporate Online.

Instead of the previous quick approval and rapid control methods, SHB is now transitioning to Smart OTP authentication for all Internet Banking transactions to strengthen security.

The shift to Smart OTP will enhance protection for customer transactions.

Adopting Smart OTP, an advanced authentication solution, is essential due to its convenience, stability, and ability to generate authentication codes anytime, anywhere. This enables customers to access services seamlessly, even when traveling abroad or in areas with no phone signal. Moreover, this service is entirely free to activate and register directly through the application.

Businesses only need to install the SHB Smart OTP app on their smart mobile devices or tablets to perform secure and convenient online transactions. Currently, Smart OTP’s security level is among the highest available in online authentication solutions, surpassing SMS OTP and Token Key. Additionally, each bank account will have a unique OTP unlock code associated with a single device registered by the customer, thereby minimizing the risk of unauthorized access through security vulnerabilities.

All these efforts aim to strengthen the connection between customers and the bank, bridge geographical distances, reduce transaction time, and enhance security for business customers in Vietnam.

Moving forward, SHB will continue to accelerate its digital transformation strategy and enhance financial services to maximize convenience and cost savings for customers. These initiatives contribute to fostering a rapid digital community adaptation to keep pace with new trends and evolving circumstances.
