The upcoming question-and-answer session at the 15th National Assembly's 7th session will take place from June 4th to 6th. Four key areas have been selected by the National Assembly deputies for this session: Natural Resources and Environment, Audit, Industry and Trade, and Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

National Assembly session in Vietnam The National Assembly has agreed on four key areas for questioning, including Natural Resources and Environment.

Accordingly, four ministers will take charge and provide answers in their respective fields: Natural Resources and Environment, Audit, Industry and Trade, and Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The first group of questions focuses on Natural Resources and Environment, covering the following topics: Management, exploitation, and protection of the country’s marine resources. Addressing water security, including measures to prevent and mitigate drought, saltwater intrusion, scarcity, and pollution. Research, exploration, exploitation, and utilization of mineral resources for construction and rare earth minerals.

The Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh, will be responsible for answering these questions. He will be supported by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and other relevant ministers, including those from the Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Construction, and Transport.

The second group of questions pertains to the field of Industry and Trade, specifically: Oversight and protection of consumer rights in e-commerce activities. Strategies to boost exports and facilitate the implementation of FTAs, along with addressing challenges faced by businesses amid a complex and unpredictable global landscape.

Additionally, this group of questions will delve into policies and laws pertaining to the development of supporting industries and mechanical engineering, particularly in relation to agro-forestry-fishery processing and rural development.

Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien, will take the lead in answering these questions. He will be joined by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and other relevant ministers, such as those from the Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Science and Technology, Information and Communications, and Foreign Affairs.

The third group of questions centers around the field of Audit, including: Accountability and solutions to prevent violations by enterprises and projects that have undergone audits. Follow-through on the conclusions and recommendations of the State Audit Office. Anti-corruption measures within the State Audit Office. Strategies to eliminate overlap between inspections and audits.

The Auditor General of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, will provide answers to these questions. Relevant ministers from the Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, and Public Security, as well as the Government Inspector General, will also participate in the questioning session.

The fourth and final group of questions relates to Culture, Sports, and Tourism, covering the following areas: Recruitment, training, and policies for athletes and artists in various artistic fields. Employment solutions for athletes and artists after their peak performance years.

Furthermore, this group of questions will explore tasks and solutions to stimulate tourism recovery in 2024 and beyond, develop nighttime tourism products, and attract investments for cultural, sports, and tourism activities in ethnic minority and mountainous regions through special policies.

Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, will be responsible for answering these questions. He will be supported by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and other relevant ministers, including those from the Ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, Transport, Education and Training, Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, and Home Affairs, as well as the Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs.
