This decision was made based on the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee’s conclusion regarding the violations and shortcomings of Ms. Vu Thi Minh Chau in performing her assigned duties and responsibilities.
In addition, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province also announced a criticism of the former Chairman of the People’s Committee of Trang Bom district, Nguyen Thi Thanh, due to her involvement in the violations and shortcomings as mentioned in the announcement of the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

In October 2015, Ms. Chau was elected as the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Trang Bom district (term II, 2011-2016). In the following terms, Ms. Chau continued to maintain the trust and support of the people and served as the Chairman of the district until now.
On May 10, Ms. Chau unexpectedly submitted a resignation letter citing health reasons.
Prior to this, the Inspectorate of Dong Nai province concluded on irregularities in the Tan Thinh Residential Area project. The conclusion identified 20 individuals from various departments, sectors, rooms, and local leaders, along with 13 organizations, as being involved in violations during the implementation of the project. They are now subject to legal proceedings as per regulations.
The inspection concluded that Ms. Vu Thi Minh Chau, in her capacity as Chairman of the People’s Committee of Trang Bom district, was negligent in detecting and preventing violations of land laws, such as inventory and compensation appraisal for land users, and improper relocation incentives.
Ms. Chau did not fully fulfill her role as the Chairman of the People’s Committee in maintaining order and construction management in the district, which led to these violations.
In connection with this case, the Investigative Police Agency of Dong Nai province has initiated a criminal case for “abuse of position and power while performing official duties” and detained several individuals involved.
This case is under the direction of the Central Steering Committee for Corruption and Negative Phenomenon Prevention and Control.
