What Do Women Leaders Aspire To?

In modern society, women’s roles are no longer confined to the kitchen, nor are they limited to “nest-building,” supporting their husbands and children from the sidelines. Many women excel at managing both domestic responsibilities and their professional careers, becoming “captains of industry” in their own right and harboring grand aspirations.

However, not all women feel confident enough to express themselves fully. Some hold themselves back due to their feminine nature, while others hesitate to outshine their spouses or struggle with self-doubt. Yet, with their talents and strengths, they deserve to hold their heads high.

Entrepreneur Cao Thi Ngoc Dung, Chairman of PNJ and the Ho Chi Minh City Businesswomen’s Association (HAWEE), understands this well through her observations and experiences. As the leader of HAWEE, she is committed to creating a united community that empowers female entrepreneurs, unleashing their potential so they can shine with confidence.

Since its establishment on March 6, 2015, HAWEE’s leadership has remained steadfast in its mission. By focusing on connecting and enhancing the influence of female entrepreneurs through leadership development, image cultivation, and inner strength, HAWEE has set itself apart from numerous business associations at both the central and grassroots levels.

“In addition to serving as a bridge to government agencies and organizations, facilitating business connections and governance, and providing policy support, HAWEE is also a spiritual home and a source of support for female entrepreneurs,” expressed the Chairman of HAWEE. “Here, they are heard, they can share their experiences, and they can live a more positive and joyful life.”

Driven by its special mission and noble vision, HAWEE has grown stronger. From its initial 165 members, the association now boasts over 600 female leaders from across the country. Through its six affiliated clubs—HAWEE Mentoring, HAWEE Toastmasters, Green Living, 30++, Business Style, and Experience—HAWEE provides a platform for members to interact and learn from each other, teaching them how to balance work and life with a calm mind and use their talents and wisdom to spread positive energy, thereby enhancing the role of female entrepreneurs in society.

Under the guidance of passionate and community-minded female leaders, HAWEE has contributed over VND 100 billion to social and charitable causes. Notable projects include “Accompanying Women in Border Areas,” supporting Ho Chi Minh City in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, donating gifts to various localities, and assisting people in the Mekong Delta affected by drought and salinity intrusion.

Beyond its networking and community-building efforts, HAWEE also focuses on elevating its members’ thinking and leadership capabilities. A testament to this is the 223 domestic and international business connection programs and events organized over the past nine years, attracting more than 20,000 participants. Among these, the HAWEE Leader’s Forum stands out as the association’s most prominent activity, solidifying its reputation and stature.

Building on the success of the previous four seasons, the HAWEE Leader’s Forum 2024 returns with the theme “Leading the Future.” This edition features nearly 20 leading speakers from various fields. Amid a world transitioning to a new era filled with events and phenomena profoundly impacting the international and domestic economic landscape, the HAWEE Leader’s Forum 2024 offers diverse perspectives, practical lessons, and strategies employed by corporations and businesses. These insights not only help them weather storms but also achieve remarkable growth.

The HAWEE Leader’s Forum 2024 presents an opportunity for attendees, especially female entrepreneurs in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces, to learn, connect, and discover new solutions. It also provides a platform to engage with domestic and international speakers. More than just a sharing forum, the HAWEE Leader’s Forum 2024 serves as a robust launchpad for female leaders to shape the future with vision, collaboration, and sustainability.

The HAWEE Leader’s Forum is HAWEE’s most extensive activity for business leaders, aimed at developing their thinking, helping them surpass their limits, and confidently seizing new opportunities to achieve breakthrough success.
