Electricity supply has been well-ensured since the beginning of 2024

Following the directives of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the State Capital Management Committee, EVN developed electricity supply scenarios and implemented synchronized and effective solutions starting in late 2023 and early 2024.

As a result, electricity supply has been well-ensured since the beginning of 2024, and EVN has no plans to reduce customers’ electricity consumption.

Recently, there have been inaccurate reports that Vietnamese authorities called on businesses in the north to voluntarily reduce their electricity consumption by 30%.

In June and the following months of 2024, the Group has updated the growth in electricity demand and developed plans and scenarios to operate the power system to ensure electricity for economic development and people’s lives in all situations.

To assist the Group in completing its assigned tasks, EVN requests that customers and electricity users continue to cooperate in conserving electricity and using it safely and efficiently, especially from now until the end of 2024. This is especially important for customer groups mentioned in the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023.
