VietinBank, Agribank, Vietcombank, and BIDV have just announced the selling price of SJC gold to individual customers on June 3rd as VND 79.98 million per tael. The banks are only selling and not buying gold from the public.
Earlier, the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) announced that it had sold gold directly to VietinBank, Vietcombank, BIDV, Agribank, and the Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) at VND 78.98 million per tael on the morning of June 3rd.

Thus, the selling price of the banks to the people is only VND 1 million per tael higher than the buying price from the SBV.
Currently, SJC Company is also listing the SJC gold price at VND 77.98-79.98 million per tael, down VND 3 million per tael compared to the previous session.

“The SBV will continue to implement the roadmap to narrow the gap between the domestic SJC gold bar price and the world price,” said the SBV leader. The banks and SJC affirmed that the gold sale aims to ensure the implementation of the goal of stabilizing the gold market in accordance with the Government’s and SBV’s directions, not for profit purposes.
Currently, the four banks and SJC have all announced the list of gold selling locations for the public, including 36 locations in 11 provinces and cities.
