The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have just announced the retail
price adjustment of gasoline and oil products from 3:00 pm on July 4th.
Accordingly, the two ministries decided to increase the price of RON 92 gasoline by VND
450 per liter to VND 22,460 per liter, and that of RON 95 by VND 540 to VND 23,550 per
liter. Similarly, the retail price of diesel oil also increased by VND 490 per liter, to
VND 21,170 per liter.

In this adjustment, the Ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance did not use the
Price Stabilization Fund for gasoline and oil products.
In the latest adjustment period (June 27), the price of RON 92 gasoline increased by
VND 510 per liter to VND 22,010 per liter, that of RON 95 by VND 550 to VND 23,010 per
liter. The price of diesel oil also increased by VND 320 to VND 20,680 per liter.

With the world’s oil demand forecasted to increase by 2024 compared to 2023, amidst potential disruptions in oil supply due to geopolitical conflicts and production cut policies, Mr. Doan Tien Quyet, a senior expert from the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI), shared with TTXVN reporters about the coping solutions to ensure stable supply for the domestic market.
