According to Mr. Le Hai Tuan, Head of Research and Development at BSR, after a period of focused research, in April 2024, the company successfully pilot-produced the TF4035 heat-formable PP product, meeting the required technical standards. Based on customer feedback after testing the product, TF4035 has been highly evaluated by large domestic processors for its quality and superiority over imported products, thus ready for commercialization.

On June 30, 2024, BSR successfully produced 500 tons of TF4035 heat-formable PP products to meet the production needs of many domestic enterprises that previously relied entirely on imports for their manufacturing.

The TF4035 plastic pellet product has a high degree of crystallinity and is used in pressure/vacuum heat-forming technology to manufacture high-quality, everyday household items such as cups, boxes, food trays, cup lids, and plastic sheets. TF4035 boasts superior features such as high hardness, transparency, heat resistance, design flexibility, balanced physical properties, and ease of recycling. In terms of processability, TF4035 is very easy to work with and has good mold-filling capability, resulting in processed products with smooth surfaces, uniform thickness, no warping, and aesthetic appeal.

Additionally, when using TF4035 as a raw material for processing, plastic processors do not need to add other materials or additives. This ensures consistent quality in the final product and simplifies the calculation, optimization, and blending processes for the processors, thereby preventing risks associated with formulation errors.

Another standout feature of the TF4035 product line is its ability to reduce the production cycle for each unit, or in other words, increase productivity and efficiency when used on existing processing lines. Consequently, it helps reduce energy consumption, production costs, and carbon dioxide emissions during the manufacturing process, contributing to environmental protection.

At the launch event, BSR’s General Director, Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, acknowledged and commended the efforts of the specialized departments and employees who have been dedicated to researching and successfully producing the new product, TF4035.

Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong emphasized the importance of TF4035 as one of the key new products in the company’s development strategy. With its high applicability in daily life and unique production and consumption characteristics, TF4035 is expected to excel in niche markets, especially given BSR’s competitive pressure from domestic and regional petrochemical plants.

“This successful launch of TF4035 will pave the way for BSR to introduce more new products to the market. I instruct the functional departments of BSR to continue optimizing production, raw materials, and chemicals to create high-quality, low-cost product lines that can strongly compete in the market,” said Mr. Bui Ngoc Duong, General Director of BSR.

The launch of the new TF4035 PP product is a testament to BSR’s tireless efforts in research and development. From the initial stages of planning and designing the production process to laboratory tests, customer site experiments, and stringent quality checks, every step was executed with utmost carefulness and dedication. The first batch of 500 tons of TF4035 heat-formable PP pellets is expected to be offered to customers in July 2024.

Prior to this launch, BSR actively engaged with domestic customers to understand their needs, aiming to increase production volume and expand the market for new PP products. The company also continues its research to develop other PP product lines (biodegradable, glass fiber-reinforced, medical-grade, etc.) with enhanced quality and value to meet market demands, improve competitiveness, and boost BSR’s business performance.

At the launch event of the new TF4035 PP product, BSR recognized and rewarded outstanding teams and individuals who made significant contributions to the successful research and production of TF4035 heat-formable PP.
