The Famous Brand Name Certification Program – Competitive Brand was first held in 2006 to support Vietnamese businesses in building their intellectual property assets. The program evaluates, recognizes, and promotes businesses with a strong track record of development, superior quality, high competitiveness, environmental friendliness, and consumer trust.
To be certified as a famous trademark in Vietnam, a brand must meet the evaluation criteria set out in Article 75 of the 2005 Intellectual Property Law. The legal entity owning the brand must also demonstrate competitive ability, effective product and service quality management, and active participation in social activities.
