The National Committee on Digital Transformation is responsible for researching and proposing to the Government and the Prime Minister policies and strategies to create a legal environment that promotes the national digital transformation process, closely linked to administrative reform. It also aims to develop e-government, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities, facilitating the implementation of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam.
The Committee’s tasks include proposing directions and solutions to the Government and the Prime Minister to address issues in implementing policies and strategies for national digital transformation, ensuring its close connection with administrative reform. It also provides assistance in developing e-government, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities, creating an enabling environment for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam.
The Committee also provides opinions on strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects, and proposals related to digital transformation and the development of e-government, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities. These opinions are provided within the scope of the Government and the Prime Minister’s decision-making authority.
Additionally, the Committee assists the Government and the Prime Minister in directing ministries, sectors, and localities to achieve targets and tasks related to digital transformation and the development of e-government, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities. It also coordinates the implementation of inter-sectoral strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects, and solutions related to these areas. The Committee plays a crucial role in overseeing the National Digital Transformation Program and coordinating the implementation of relevant contents of the National Strategy on the Fourth Industrial Revolution until 2030.
Furthermore, the Committee helps the Government and the Prime Minister in monitoring and inspecting the implementation of inter-sectoral strategies, programs, mechanisms, policies, projects, and solutions related to digital transformation and the development of e-government, digital government, digital economy, digital society, and smart cities. It also ensures the effective deployment of the National Digital Transformation Program.
