The Stock Market Challenge: RongViet Invest Kicks Off Season 2

Following the success of its inaugural season, RongViet Invest, a national stock investment and knowledge competition for students, organized by Rong Viet Securities JSC, is proud to announce the official launch of its second season. The registration portal is now open as of August 1, 2024. This year's competition returns with an even grander scale and more attractive prizes, along with the introduction of a new Team Category.

RongViet Invest 2023 Awards Ceremony

A triumphant first season

Conceived and organized for the first time in 2023, RongViet Invest received a positive response and was joined by 25 universities and colleges nationwide. In its inaugural season, the competition attracted over 8,000 students to a series of workshops on personal finance and stock investing, with 1,000 students participating in the contest rounds.

Appreciating the practicality of the competition, Dr. Bui Hong Diep, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting at the University of Industry, Ho Chi Minh City, commented, “RongViet Invest 2023 is a meaningful playground for students, encouraging them to equip themselves with financial and investment knowledge, research the market, and make independent investment decisions.”

RongViet Invest 2024: Introducing the Team Category, with a total prize pool of nearly VND 500 million

In its second season, the competition underwent a significant change with the addition of a Team Category alongside the Individual Category. Each team comprises three students representing their school and will be supported by Rong Viet with an initial capital of VND 20 million to participate in the Real Investment Round. Based on the return on investment achieved, the top six outstanding teams will advance to the final round to present their investment ideas.

This is considered an opportunity for students to connect, exchange ideas, work in teams, and collectively develop effective investment strategies. In contrast to the Team Category, the Individual Category will focus on providing students with in-depth training and practical experience in market fluctuations, allowing them to break through limitations with distinct investment strategies.

RongViet Invest 2024 Competition Rounds

In the Individual Category, contestants will go through two rounds: Investment Knowledge and Real Investment. A key difference is that students will use their own capital (a minimum of VND 2 million and a maximum of VND 20 million) to make real investments and determine the results based on their investment performance.

Throughout the competition, contestants and teams will receive investment advice from experienced experts at Rong Viet, helping young investors gain confidence as they navigate the RongViet Invest 2024 competition. Additionally, Rong Viet provides a set of four powerful investment support tools to accompany the contestants: eduDragon – a comprehensive stock training system; iDragon – a superior online stock trading system; smartDragon – an optimal stock investment support platform; and hiDragon – an intelligent investment assistant.

In addition to the thrilling competition rounds, RongViet Invest also collaborates with universities, colleges, and academies to organize a series of workshops on personal financial management and stock investing for students, covering a diverse range of topics that combine theory and practice. Through these workshops, Rong Viet aims to raise awareness among young people about the role and potential of the stock market and the importance of personal financial management and investment in their lives and future.

Currently, Rong Viet is one of the pioneering securities companies in the mission of educating and raising investment awareness among young people. Recently, the company initiated a series of free financial education workshops for students from grades 1 to 12, titled “Money Doesn’t Grow on Trees.” The events, which included the participation of parents and students, were highly regarded for their practicality and age-appropriate content.
