There have been rumors circulating about the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, suggesting that Apple will be replacing the Blue Titanium color option from the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max with a new pink or gold variation. According to the latest leaks, the newest color for this year’s Pro models will be a bronze-like shade.
What will the new Pink color look like on the iPhone 16 Pro Max?
Specifically, a leak from the Weibo account “Fixed focus digital” revealed that the new color of the iPhone 16 Pro Max resembles a “bronze” shade, while the frame is said to be similar to titanium.
Earlier in July, another Chinese leak suggested that the new color on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max would simply be called “Pink,” rather than the “Rose Gold” option that Apple offered with the iPhone 6S back in 2015.
It’s possible that these two leaks are referring to the same color but observed under different lighting conditions. Interestingly, the leaker only mentioned the new color for the “iPhone 16 Pro Max,” but it’s reasonable to assume that it will be available for both Pro models.
Back in May, some impressive-looking pink iPhone 16 Pro images were shared by “AppleTechIG” on Instagram, exciting iPhone enthusiasts. However, according to the latest leaks, this might not be the color that Apple will ultimately use for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max this year.
The other colors expected to be available for the iPhone 16 Pro and ‌iPhone 16 Pro‌ Max this year include Black, White (or Silver), and Gray (or “Natural Titanium”).
Will Apple introduce a new coating process for the iPhone 16 Pro Max?
In other rumors, it is speculated that Apple plans to use an improved process for the titanium color coating, resulting in a shinier finish compared to the aluminum finish on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. This shinier finish may resemble the stainless steel used by Apple in previous years but is expected to be more scratch-resistant.
Typically, Apple releases its new iPhone models around mid-September, which means there are approximately six weeks left until the anticipated launch of the iPhone 16 series. Similar to the iPhone 15 series, this year’s lineup is expected to retain the four models, with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max featuring slightly larger screens.
