Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh said that the estimated gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the first six months of 2024 increased by 5% over the same period in 2023, of which the second quarter increased by 8.35% over the same period. The scale of GRDP in the first six months of 2024 ranked 17th out of 63 provinces and cities.
The trade and service sector continued to be a bright spot, making positive contributions to the city’s overall economic growth.
The total number of guests served by accommodation establishments in the first seven months was estimated at 6.6 million, up 33% from the same period in 2023. Export turnover reached 1,102.7 million USD, up 3.7%; import turnover is estimated at 768.4 million USD, up 25%.

The work of selecting investors and building infrastructure for industrial parks and clusters is slower than scheduled, failing to meet the timely needs of land funds and production premises for industrial enterprises.
The city faces many difficulties in inspecting and removing obstacles in some projects with land-related problems according to inspection conclusions, court judgments, or not included in the inspection conclusions but must be inspected and handled similarly to inspected projects.
Some urban and residential projects with civil disputes have put additional pressure on the city government in handling complaints and denunciations of investors by the people, affecting the implementation of the city’s socio-economic development goals.

The delegates also examined the implementation of Decision No. 153/QD-TTg on the establishment of the Prime Minister’s Working Group on inspection, review, resolution, and removal of difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the inspection and audit conclusions and court judgments in a number of provinces and cities; and the implementation of Conclusion No. 77-Kl/TW on the Scheme “Solution to difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land in the inspection and audit conclusions and court judgments in a number of provinces and centrally-run cities.”
Secretary of the Da Nang Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang requested each ministry and sector to coordinate and work with the city on each specific content and project facing difficulties and obstacles, and to clearly define the method of handling, responsibility, and authority to resolve them.
Deputy Minister of Justice Tran Tien Dung suggested that there should be working groups to inspect and propose solutions for each project or group of projects with similar difficulties and obstacles to report to the competent authorities for handling in transition.
Concluding the working session, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized the principle of handling difficulties and obstacles related to projects and land is to grasp the actual situation, clearly identify the relevant laws and regulations, the authority to resolve at which level, and the method of handling and removing them to ensure the harmonious interests of the State, enterprises, and people, but not to legalize violations. “The handling and resolution process must go to the end, in the spirit of the common cause,” he said.
To implement Conclusion No. 77-Kl/TW, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the classification and establishment of a list of groups of obstacles that will be resolved after the new laws and regulations on land take effect; groups of obstacles under the authority of localities; groups of obstacles under the responsibility of ministries, sectors, and central agencies; and groups of obstacles under the authority of the Prime Minister, the Government, and the National Assembly.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Justice to coordinate with ministries, sectors, and localities to submit to the National Assembly for the issuance of resolutions to handle specific projects according to its competence.
“Da Nang and localities must be proactive and work with ministries and sectors to accurately identify issues and addresses for resolution,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
