Just a day after the first VinFast VF 3 cars were delivered to customers on August 1, images of a red mini car traversing a desert-like terrain started circulating on social media, captivating many.
The caption accompanying these images claimed that this red VinFast VF 3 electric car had successfully navigated rocky mountains and deserts. The backdrop didn’t resemble any location in Vietnam, and the absence of registration plates or temporary stickers made it even more unlikely that the car was driven within the country.
Unlike the commercial models delivered to customers, this VinFast VF 3 featured metallic-colored rims instead of black ones, and the rim caps covering the screws were missing. These observations led to speculations that this particular car might be a pre-production model, undergoing global testing, similar to other VinFast vehicles.
Most of the shared images focused on the car’s exterior and the landscapes it traversed. However, one photo offered a glimpse into the vehicle’s interior, revealing some interesting details. Unlike the commercial version, which features air-conditioning vents painted in a white cream color to match the seat trim, this car’s vents were painted red, matching the exterior. Additionally, a piece of paper, possibly a temporary license plate or travel permit, was visible on the dashboard. Reflections on the windshield suggested that the characters were in Chinese, indicating a date and possibly a location in China, leading some to speculate that the car was being tested there.
