Hanoi’s tourism sector has seen positive results, thanks to the implementation of various solutions and improvements in infrastructure upgrades, hotels, and innovative promotional activities to enhance the image of the city and its people.
Overall, in the first seven months, the total number of tourists visiting Hanoi is estimated at over 16 million, an increase of 11.8% compared to the same period in 2023. International tourist arrivals reached over 3.4 million, up 42.5% from the previous year.
The number of international arrivals in Hanoi in July is estimated at 468,000, a decrease of 28,000 from June, as Vietnam enters the low season for international tourism. The number of international visitors with accommodation was 300,000.
Total revenue from tourism activities in Hanoi reached over VND 9,200 billion, up 10.3% compared to the same period last year.
In July, the average hotel room occupancy rate was estimated at over 58%. Hanoi currently has 3,760 tourist accommodation facilities with 71,200 rooms, including 606 hotels rated from one to five stars. There are also 45 catering services, 43 shopping services, seven entertainment services, and two healthcare services that have been recognized as meeting the standards for serving tourists.
The system of shopping, dining, and entertainment services that meet the standards has attracted a large number of tourists and locals to visit and shop.
In the remaining months of the year, Hanoi’s tourism sector will continue to promote destinations and invest in famous and traditional tourist spots. To continue attracting and providing diverse experiences for tourists, Hanoi will host numerous fascinating events.
