The “Best Workplace in Asia” award is a prestigious annual event organized by HR Asia Magazine, aiming to recognize and honor companies with outstanding HR policies, attractive benefits, and a leading working environment in the region.

The evaluation and selection process is based on the Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM). This tool directly and effectively assesses organizations of all sizes, focusing on three factors: Core Values (Core), Personal Values (Self), and Group Values (Group). Additionally, HR Asia conducts in-depth interviews to gain a deeper understanding of the companies’ HR policies, welfare programs, and corporate culture.

NCB has once again excelled, meeting the stringent criteria set by the organizers. This year, NCB is proud to be recognized as one of the best places to work in Asia with an impressive score of 4.6 out of 5. Notably, the bank achieved scores of 4.43, 4.67, and 4.71 for the Core, Self, and Group factors, respectively, surpassing the average scores of other participating companies.

Notably, when asked, “Would you recommend NCB as an ideal workplace to your family and friends?”, 94.4% of NCB’s employees agreed, compared to an average of 78.4% for other participating companies. This indicates the positive changes and improvements NCB has made in creating an attractive working environment, leaving a lasting impression on its employees.

This is the second consecutive year that NCB has been honored with the HRAA award. Previously, in 2018, 2020, and 2021, NCB also received the “Best Workplace in Vietnam” award from Global Banking & Finance Review (GBAF) magazine. This year’s prestigious international award further acknowledges NCB’s efforts in its comprehensive transformation, standardization of governance, development of competitive HR policies, and focus on cultivating high-quality talent to serve customers with ever-improving standards.

“Our people are our most valuable asset,” said Mr. Ta Kieu Hung, CEO of NCB. “We are committed to investing in and nurturing a high-quality working environment, offering our employees the best HR policies and opportunities for personal growth. This also contributes to building a high-caliber workforce for the finance and banking industry.”

According to Mr. Hung, NCB is currently implementing a new development strategy in collaboration with a leading global strategic consulting firm. In this journey, the bank recognizes that human resources are a decisive factor, alongside business solutions, technological infrastructure, and product and service offerings. “NCB is attracting talented individuals to join us in our comprehensive transformation. We are fostering a professional and dynamic working environment with excellent HR policies. Our employees will face challenges but also have numerous opportunities to upgrade and prove their worth,” affirmed Mr. Ta Kieu Hung.

NCB has strengthened its human resources with the addition of experienced professionals at all levels. Today, NCB boasts a talented team, particularly at the senior level, with extensive expertise, strong competencies, and exceptional management skills in the finance and banking sector.

NCB has also introduced numerous innovative HR policies, establishing itself as a trusted and attractive employer. These include competitive compensation packages, leadership that empowers employees by providing opportunities and showing trust, and an inspiring working environment with upgraded infrastructure and creative spaces. Furthermore, the bank has been shaping a distinct corporate culture centered around the core values of “Loyalty, Trust, Dedication, Refinement, and Transcendence.” By continuously organizing various cultural activities, sports competitions, team-building events, learning sessions, professional contests, and creative initiatives for employees’ children, NCB has fostered a strong sense of community and enriched the spiritual lives of its employees, creating a happy and fulfilling workplace that nurtures talent.
