The “Best Workplace in Asia” award is a prestigious annual award organized by HR Asia Magazine, recognizing companies with exceptional human resource policies, attractive benefits, and a leading working environment in the region.
The evaluation and selection process is based on the Total Employee Affinity Model (TEAM). This model directly and effectively assesses organizations of all sizes, focusing on three key factors: Core Values, Self-Value, and Group Value. Additionally, HR Asia conducts in-depth interviews to thoroughly understand the human resource policies, welfare programs, and corporate culture of the participating companies.
NCB has once again proven its excellence by meeting the stringent criteria set by the organizers. This year, NCB is proud to be recognized as one of the best places to work in Asia with an impressive score of 4.6 out of 5. The bank’s Core, Self, and Group values scored 4.43, 4.67, and 4.71, respectively, far surpassing the average scores of other participating companies.
Notably, when asked, “Would you recommend NCB as an ideal workplace to your family and friends?”, an impressive 94.4% of NCB’s employees agreed, compared to an average of 78.4% across all participating companies. This indicates the positive changes and improvements NCB has made in creating an attractive work environment, leaving a lasting impression on its employees.
This is the second consecutive year that NCB has been honored with the HRAA award. Previously, in 2018, 2020, and 2021, NCB also received the “Best Workplace in Vietnam” award from Global Banking & Finance Review (GBAF) magazine. This year’s prestigious international award further acknowledges NCB’s comprehensive transformation, standardized governance, competitive human resource policies, and focus on developing high-quality talent to serve its customers with ever-improving standards.
Mr. Ta Kieu Hung, CEO of NCB, shared, “Our people are our most valuable asset. We are committed to investing in and nurturing a high-quality work environment, offering our employees the best human resource policies and opportunities for personal growth. This also contributes to building a high-caliber workforce for the finance and banking industry.”
Mr. Hung also emphasized that NCB is currently implementing a new development strategy in collaboration with a leading global strategic consulting firm. In this journey, the bank recognizes that human resources are a decisive factor, alongside business solutions, technological infrastructure, and product and service offerings. “NCB is attracting talented individuals to join us in our comprehensive transformation. We are fostering a professional and dynamic work environment with very competitive human resource policies. Here, our people will face challenges but also have numerous opportunities to upgrade and prove themselves,” affirmed Mr. Ta Kieu Hung.
NCB has strengthened its human resources with the addition of experienced and skilled professionals at all levels. Today, NCB boasts a talented team, particularly at the senior management level, with extensive expertise and strong management capabilities in the finance and banking sector.
NCB’s human resource policies have seen several positive changes, solidifying its position as a reputable employer and talent magnet. These include establishing competitive compensation packages, adjusting income levels across the NCB system to be market-competitive, and providing incentives for employees; fostering a culture of trust and empowerment, where leaders are willing to “give opportunities and believe in their people”; and creating an inspiring work environment with upgraded infrastructure and creative spaces.
Additionally, the bank has been shaping a distinct corporate culture centered around its core values of “Loyalty, Trust, Dedication, Refinement, and Transcendence.” NCB consistently organizes various cultural activities, such as sports competitions, team-building events, learning sessions, professional contests, and creative competitions for employees’ children. These initiatives enhance employee engagement, enrich their spiritual lives, and foster a happy and fulfilling work environment, providing a fertile ground for talented individuals to thrive and reach their full potential.
