Listed below are the 2024 models that achieved perfect safety scores from US News & World Report, based on standard driver-assistance features and performance in crash tests conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the US.

Volvo S90 Recharge 2024

The 2024 S90 Recharge has earned high safety ratings from IIHS, thanks to its rich suite of driver-assistance technologies. This plug-in hybrid offers an all-electric range of 60km and comes in two variants: Plus and Ultimate.
Both feature the T8 plug-in-hybrid powertrain, comprising a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 455 horsepower. An 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard, enabling the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds.
The S90 Recharge was also introduced in the Vietnamese market in early March 2024, with the Ultimate variant. Notably, the manufacturer claims a fuel economy of just 1.4 liters/100 km for this model, which is lower than many motorcycles. The starting price is set at 2.89 billion VND.
Some standout features include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, rear cross-traffic alert, and rain-sensing windshield wipers, among others.
Volvo V60 Recharge 2024

The V60 Recharge attained the highest IIHS rating in three crash tests and for the effectiveness of its headlights on both straight and curved roads, along with numerous other standard driver-assistance features.
It is offered in two variants: the V60 Recharge Polestar and the V60 Recharge Engineered. Both employ the T8 eAWD powertrain, combining a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine with a plug-in-hybrid system to produce 455 horsepower. This setup enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, with an all-electric range of 66 km.
Volvo also equips the V60 Recharge with a host of safety technologies, including a surround-view camera system, parking sensors, traffic sign information, lane-keeping assist, oncoming lane mitigation, slippery road alert, rain-sensing wipers, a head-up display, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and Pilot Assist—a driver-assistance system that provides steering assistance on highways.

Its dimensions are 4,939 mm in length, 1,903 mm in width, and 1,543 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,941 mm. The overall design weight is 2,420 kg.
The Volvo V90’s safety credentials are underscored by its 2023 Top Safety Pick+ award from IIHS. It achieved the highest rating in three crash tests conducted by IIHS and the second-highest rating for the effectiveness of its headlights on curved roads.
