An event will be held on the morning of August 17 at 498 Hoang Quoc Viet, Co Nhue Ward, Bac Tu Liem District, Hanoi. The specialty coffee lots up for auction this time are carefully selected samples from the Vietnam Amazing Cup 2024 competition.
More and more farmers are engaging in specialty coffee production.
This time, there will be 9 lots of Robusta and 6 lots of Arabica coffee up for auction. Each coffee lot will convey a unique message from the farm, from enhancing the value of Vietnamese coffee to sharing the best cups with consumers.
The program is expected to attract thousands of participants, including roasters, baristas, and consumers, both domestically and internationally. Notably, this event has garnered attention from roasting brands in South Korea and China, two of the fastest-growing consumption markets globally, who are keen on Vietnam’s Fine Robusta.
The production process, from farming to harvesting and preliminary processing, must strictly adhere to the standards of specialty coffee.
This is the second time Dak Lak has organized an auction for specialty coffee lots. The first auction, held last year (2023), was a success. The selling price of specialty coffee was 5-7 times higher than that of regular coffee, underscoring the immense value of Vietnamese specialty coffee.
