Johnson Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality sports and fitness equipment. The group currently has six factories located in the US, China, Taiwan, Japan, and the Thuân Thành II Industrial Park in Bắc Ninh Province, Vietnam. Since its investment in 2019, Johnson Group has established a strong presence in the Thuân Thành II Industrial Park with a 10-hectare project and a total investment of $50 million, generating an impressive $60 million in annual revenue.

During a recent meeting, representatives of the Johnson Group provided an overview of the group’s business operations and expressed their desire to expand their presence in Bắc Ninh Province. They sought support from the local administration to establish a second factory in the Thuân Thành I Industrial Park, spanning an area of approximately 20 hectares and involving a total investment of $100 million. This new facility is envisioned as the group’s primary production and assembly hub for sports and fitness equipment, serving markets worldwide.

According to the group’s plans, the establishment of the second factory will lead to the relocation of their operations from China, Taiwan, and several other countries to this new facility in Bắc Ninh. This strategic move underscores the group’s commitment to optimizing its production capabilities and strengthening its position in the global market.

In the meeting, VÆ°Æ¡ng Quốc Tuấn, Chairman of the Bắc Ninh People’s Committee, shared insights into the province’s economic development and investment attraction during the first seven months of 2024. He highlighted Bắc Ninh’s impressive performance in attracting foreign investment, reaching $3.2 billion so far this year, which places the province at the forefront of foreign investment in Vietnam.

Looking ahead, the province is set to host a conference on September 7-8 to announce its provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision toward 2050, along with investment promotion activities and the groundbreaking of several key projects. Chairman Tuấn expressed his hope that Johnson Group’s project would soon complete the necessary procedures to obtain the investment certificate. He assured the group of the province’s utmost support and commitment to creating a favorable environment for the group and other investors to thrive in Bắc Ninh.
