Lai Chau Province’s Department of Market Management Team 4, in collaboration with other functional forces, seized 1.9 tons of illegal goods.

On August 9, at 5 pm, Team 4, in coordination with the local Police, inspected a shipment of 30 white polypropylene bags covered with a green tarp, left unattended next to Mr. Ly Van Min’s house in Ma Ly Pho, Phong Tho District. The shipment, weighing 930 kg and worth an estimated VND 232 million, consisted of processed chicken feet in unlabeled bags, with no indication of origin or production information.

Mr. Ly Van Min, the owner of the goods, could not produce any documents or invoices to verify their origin during the inspection. Team 4 has temporarily confiscated the goods for further handling in accordance with regulations.

On August 10, in Phong Tho town, Team 4, in collaboration with the Police and the Traffic Police, inspected a Hino truck with license plate number 24H-018.44. They discovered 1 ton of processed chicken feet, worth approximately VND 25 million, in 36 polypropylene bags in the truck’s cargo compartment. The bags were leaking and emitting a foul odor, and the goods were also unlabeled and lacked information on their origin.

The driver and owner of the goods, Mr. Nguyen Duc Toi, could not provide any documents or invoices to prove their legality. Team 4 has temporarily confiscated these goods as well for further handling in accordance with regulations.
