Google has officially unveiled its second-generation foldable phone, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. After dipping its toes into the foldable market in 2022, Google has made significant changes to its latest offering. In terms of specifications, the device shares many similarities with the standard Pixel 9, Pro, and Pro XL lineup. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will directly compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, OnePlus Open, and Vivo X Fold 3.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold boasts a true foldable design with a more balanced aspect ratio on the outer display compared to its predecessor. The main inner display measures a generous 8 inches, matching that of the OnePlus Open. Both screens utilize high-quality panels with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device features a multilayer alloy frame and a super-hard aluminum back, giving it a premium, sturdy feel. The rear camera system is housed in a rectangular module with two pill-shaped camera arrays.

In terms of photography capabilities, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is equipped with a 48MP main camera, a 10.5MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and 20x digital zoom. Both the inner and outer screens feature a 10MP selfie camera. The device also inherits many intelligent photography features from the Pixel 9 series.

Under the hood, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold packs a Tensor G4 processor and a Titan M2 security chip. It comes with 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device is powered by a 4650mAh battery that supports 21W fast charging and wireless charging. Running on Android 14, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is promised to receive software updates for seven years. It also integrates the Gemini virtual assistant and Google AI features such as Magic Eraser, Pixel Screenshots, and Add Me.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes in two color options: Obsidian and Porcelain. Pricing starts at $1,799 (approximately 45 million VND) for the 256GB model and $1,999 (approximately 50 million VND) for the 512GB variant. The device will go on sale on September 4.
