The Nam Tu Liem district was established in late 2013 and officially came into operation in April 2014. In just 10 years, the district has undergone a remarkable transformation in its urban landscape with the development of dozens of large-scale projects, including Vinhomes Gardenia, Vinhomes Smart City, and Lumi Ha Noi. Nam Tu Liem district has achieved a scale and standard on par with other regions.

Currently, in the Nam Tu Liem district, especially along Le Quang Dao Street and its extension, there are numerous plots of land earmarked for future projects and urban developments. These include the velodrome project, the Nam Dai Lo Thang Long urban area, and the planned construction of a green technology city…

Firstly, located opposite the My Dinh National Stadium (Nam Tu Liem district) is a plot of land intended for the construction of a velodrome. Initially, the estimated cost of building an international-standard velodrome was approximately $200 million. However, due to various reasons, the project has not been realized yet.

Not far from there, in Me Tri and Phu Do wards (Nam Tu Liem district), The Matrix One project is currently in its second phase of construction.

This development will feature two 44-story towers and provide the market with approximately 990 apartments.

Further along, at the beginning of the Le Quang Dao Street extension, is a 75-hectare plot of land in Me Tri, Trung Van, and Phu Do wards (Nam Tu Liem district) designated for the Nam Dai Lo Thang Long urban area.

This project is being developed by the Vingroup conglomerate. According to the plan, the Nam Dai Lo Thang Long urban area will feature architectural compositions arranged in a U-shaped layout with various zones, including low-rise (4-5 stories) and high-rise (35-39 stories) areas… It is expected to accommodate a population of about 10,000 people. Adjacent to the Nam Dai Lo Thang Long urban area is a plot of land earmarked for the construction of headquarters for various central ministries and sectors. This 55-hectare site includes 43.6 hectares in Me Tri ward and 11.4 hectares in Trung Van ward (Nam Tu Liem district).

The overall space of the planning area consists of architectural clusters with relatively uniform heights for ministry and sector headquarters, ranging from 17 to 25 stories, as well as public and service buildings of 3 to 5 stories, along with 2 to 5 stories of underground space. The core of the area features green spaces, water bodies, and shared public facilities.

It is known that during the period of 2023-2025, the Me Tri area aims to complete the construction of the Vietnam Social Security head office. Simultaneously, preparations are underway for the investment and construction of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development headquarters. Crossing the Nhuệ River, there is another vacant plot of land in Dai Mo ward (Nam Tu Liem district). According to the planning map, this area is designated for the development of an amusement and recreation park with sports services, with the Dai Mo pond as its focal point.
