In recent times, a series of jackfruits with extraordinarily large sizes and weights have captured the attention of many people online. Typically, jackfruits weigh between 10 and 15 kilograms, so the appearance of these unusually large fruits sparked curiosity and admiration.

The excitement surrounding these giant jackfruits escalated as even bigger ones were discovered. Weighing scales were pushed to their limits as jackfruits of incredible weights kept appearing, sparking a competition to find the heaviest jackfruit in Vietnam.

In June, a resident of Hai Duong shared images of a jackfruit weighing an impressive 54.5 kilograms. This news quickly spread and amazed many, as it surpassed the Guinness World Records title for the heaviest jackfruit. The previous record holder, recognized on June 23, 2016, was a 42.72-kilogram jackfruit named Artocarpus, grown in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The owner of this remarkable 54.5-kilogram jackfruit is Mr. Pham Van Thieu, a resident of Nhi Chau Ward in Hai Duong City.

Soon after, another jackfruit caused a stir online, this time weighing an astonishing 56 kilograms. This giant fruit was spotted in Chi Lang town, Chi Lang district, Lang Son province, and was even adorned with a bow for display. Naturally, it attracted a lot of attention and curiosity from locals and netizens alike.

The “jackfruit festival” continued with yet another remarkable find—a 56-kilogram jackfruit from Quyet Thang village, Thanh Vinh commune, Thanh Hoa province. This massive fruit added more excitement to the ongoing competition to find the heaviest jackfruit.

Most recently, a jackfruit weighing a whopping 70 kilograms was discovered in Bac Giang, setting a new record for the heaviest jackfruit in Vietnam as of this writing. This extraordinary fruit belongs to the family of Mr. Phung The Hung, a 27-year-old resident of Bac Ly town, Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province.

The jackfruit tree is of the Malaysian long jackfruit variety and has been growing for eight years. It started bearing fruit in its fourth year, producing 2-3 fruits per season, each weighing around 60-70 kilograms and measuring about 80 centimeters in length. This year, Mr. Hung’s family harvested a 70-kilogram jackfruit, which is currently the heaviest in Vietnam, as shared on social media.

The discovery of these massive jackfruits in Vietnam, all surpassing the previous world record, has excited many people. Nature never ceases to amaze, and the green thumbs of Vietnamese farmers continue to impress. Netizens eagerly anticipate the possibility of an even heavier jackfruit that will break the current record.
