Hòa Phát Group Contributes Over $316 Million in Taxes in the First Half of 2024

Hòa Phát Dung Quất Steel Company, a leading steel manufacturer in Vietnam, has contributed an impressive $316 million in taxes and fees to the state budget in the first half of 2024. This includes various taxes such as import VAT, import-export taxes, and domestic taxes, making it the highest contributor among the group’s members.

Hòa Phát Hải Dương Steel Company ranks second among Hòa Phát’s subsidiaries, with a significant contribution of over $30 million in taxes during the same period.

Other notable contributors to the state budget from the Hòa Phát Group include Hòa Phát Pipe Company, Hòa Phát Home Appliances, Hòa Phát Urban Development and Construction, Hòa Phát Hưng Yên Steel, and Hòa Phát Sheet Steel.

Founded in 1992, the Hòa Phát Group has diversified its business across five main sectors: Steel, Steel Products, Agriculture, Real Estate, and Home Appliances. The group boasts a comprehensive ecosystem of high-quality products, with a particular focus on steel. Their steel offerings include construction steel, hot-rolled coil steel, high-quality steel, prestressed steel, steel pipes, coated steel sheets, and containers. In the first half of 2024, Hòa Phát undertook several charitable and social initiatives. They built 300 charity houses in Trà Vinh, provided clean water solutions by donating over 300 water purifiers to schools and healthcare facilities nationwide, and commenced the construction of Bình Đông Elementary School in Bình Sơn district, Quảng Ngãi province. The group also continued its annual programs such as “Heartbeat of Love,” providing heart surgery funding for underprivileged children, and “Godmother,” offering monthly financial support for orphans.

Since its listing on the stock exchange in 2007 up until June 30, 2024, Hòa Phát Group has contributed an astonishing total of over $3.5 billion to the state budget, showcasing its unwavering commitment to Vietnam’s economic growth and social development.
