Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed Decision 862/QD-TTg approving adjustments to the general planning of Nhon Trach new urban area, Dong Nai province, until 2035, with a vision towards 2050, regarding technical infrastructure and industrial parks.

The approval of these adjustments to the Nhon Trach new urban area plan will resolve difficulties and obstacles that important projects in the area have faced over the past years. These include the inter-port road in Nhon Trach district, provincial road 25C, provincial road 25B, and medium and low-voltage power lines serving the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 power plants.

Decision 862/QD-TTg clearly states that the urban planning adjustments for Nhon Trach new urban area will involve changes to the orientation of the Inter-Port Road and Provincial Road 25C, while maintaining the original road width and adjusting the road cross-section for Provincial Road 25B.

Additionally, the decision involves adjusting the cross-section and expanding the road width from 48m to 61m for the connection between Ong Keo Industrial Park and the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway intersection. This expansion starts from the entrance to Ong Keo Industrial Park and ends at the intersection of the expressway with Ho Chi Minh City’s Ring Road 3 in Vinh Thanh commune.

Regarding power planning, the decision also includes the addition of several power lines: the 500KV Nhon Trach 4 – Phe My – Nha Be power line; the 220KV Nhon Trach 3 – 500KV Long Thanh transformer power line; the 220kV Nhon Trach 3 – My Xuan – Cat Lai power line and the four-circuit 110kV power line on the Long Thanh – Nhon Trach 5 line; the 110kV Long Thanh – Hyosung power line to the 220kV transformer station in Nhon Trach Industrial Park; and the 110kV power line from the An Phuoc transformer station and the 110kV power line to connect to the 110kV transformer station in the high-tech park, passing through the administrative boundary of Nhon Trach district.

At the same time, the decision adjusts the location of the 220kV transformer station in Nhon Trach Industrial Park and the connection from Phuoc Thien commune to Phu Hoi commune.

The decision also adjusts the functions of mixed-use land, regional commercial and service land, green parks, isolation green spaces, and part of the port and port logistics service functions into industrial land functions.

The adjusted location is in the sub-area of port logistics services and Phuoc An port, located in Phuoc An commune. This adjustment is in line with the adjusted general planning of Nhon Trach new urban area until 2035, with a vision towards 2050, according to Decision 455/QD-TTg dated March 22, 2016, issued by the Prime Minister.

Moreover, the decision also amends Point d, Clause 4, Article 1 of Decision 455 on the orientation of industrial parks, ports, and port logistics services as follows: “Construct the new Phuoc An Industrial Park with an appropriate area in accordance with the Planning of Dong Nai Province for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050; develop Phuoc An port and port logistics services; and develop a system of ports along the Nha Be River with a total area of about 183 hectares.”
