Digimi: Born from a Desire for Convenience and Accessibility

In 2021, BVBank launched its digital banking platform, Digimi, at a time when the demand for online services was on the rise, fueled by a need to reduce physical contact. The shift from traditional cash transactions to cashless ones was well underway.

Digimi’s launch was timely, and the bank’s foresight to pilot eKYC account opening meant that customers could easily experience the convenience of digital transactions. With its user-friendly features, Digimi quickly expanded its customer base. However, it was their deep understanding of diverse customer needs and relentless efforts to improve their products and services that truly fostered a loyal customer base.

Over the past three years, Digimi has closely followed the 3E strategy – Easy to use, Easy to connect, and Easy to receive value. They have been pioneers in introducing innovative features such as virtual cards, transfers via nickname/phone number, shopname accounts, attractive account numbers, multiple wallet links, insurance payments, and brokerage accounts with Vietcap. Their customer care, including video call support, has also been well-received. Young people, in particular, have embraced Digimi, not just for its essential utilities but also for its speed and ease of use. As a result, BVBank has witnessed impressive customer growth, averaging 34% annually. As of June 30, 2024, the bank boasts 2 million customers, with Digimi making a significant contribution to this achievement.

Of BVBank’s 2 million customers, nearly 40% are young adults aged 18-25. With such a valuable customer base, BVBank and Digimi are committed to empowering the next generation.

Digimi has chosen to partner with high school and college students, as well as the basketball community, with a mission of “Empowering a Generation to Soar.” The goal is to enhance the physical and social well-being of young people. Basketball has gained popularity among the youth in recent years due to its emphasis on agility, teamwork, and its positive impact on physical stature. Student tournaments and events are on the rise, and Digimi has been a proud partner of the National University Championship (NUC) and the VUG National Student Sports Festival for two consecutive seasons. Through these partnerships, Digimi has connected with nearly 10,000 students, forging new friendships and strengthening its bond with the youth.
