Biệt phủ xây dựng trái phép ở Bình Thuận sẽ bị tháo dỡ

On August 21st, authorities from Gia An Commune, Tánh Linh District, Bình Thuận Province, summoned Mr. Cao Thanh Sang, the owner of an illegally constructed mansion located on Provincial Road 720 connecting Tánh Linh and Đức Linh districts.

During the meeting, the Gia An Commune People’s Committee requested Mr. Sang to demolish the illegal mansion within 10 days, from August 20th to 30th.

The owner of the mansion agreed to voluntarily demolish the structure but asked for an extension beyond the local authority’s deadline.

Specifically, Mr. Cao Thanh Sang requested a 60-day extension to allow for the mobilization of labor and machinery. “If I do not voluntarily demolish it after this period, then enforce the compulsory demolition. I will take full responsibility before the law and will not file any complaints,” Mr. Sang stated during the meeting.

However, the local authorities did not agree to Mr. Sang’s proposal. According to the Gia An Commune, this illegal construction on agricultural land has been subject to administrative fines and demolition orders by the People’s Committee of Tánh Linh District for the past two years, since its initial construction.

As the owner failed to comply with the previous orders, the Gia An Commune insisted that Mr. Sang must completely demolish the mansion, its auxiliary structures, and the surrounding wall by August 30th. If he does not comply within this timeframe, the local authorities will proceed with compulsory demolition.

The three-story mansion with a domed roof, illegally built by Mr. Cao Thanh Sang, is located on craft village land for brick and tile production in Village 1, Gia An Commune.

When the local authorities discovered that Mr. Sang had commenced construction without a permit, they imposed administrative fines and demanded the demolition of the structure in 2022. However, Mr. Sang has not complied and instead continued to complete the construction.

Mr. Cao Thanh Sang is known as a prominent figure in the mineral business in Tánh Linh District for many years.
