The Vietnamese motorcycle market is buzzing with excitement as August 2024 sees the arrival of a diverse range of motorcycles across all segments. These motorcycles have one thing in common: they are all imported through private dealers. However, instead of the usual price hikes, the selling prices of these motorcycles at this time are incredibly attractive.

Honda Super Cub 50

A dealership specializing in imported motorcycles in Ho Chi Minh City has brought in the last batch of Honda Super Cub 50 to Vietnam, as this model will no longer be produced in Japan.

The Honda Super Cub 50 is now being offered by the dealership at a discounted price of VND 91 million, a reduction of VND 8 million compared to a month ago. In addition, buyers will receive a complimentary accessory package that includes a sturdy rear luggage rack, a center rack, a premium front storage basket, and free delivery with a metal frame.

The Honda Super Cub 50 boasts a simple, classic design that draws on the heritage of past Super Cub models, featuring round headlights and turn signals, and a rectangular taillight.

The motorcycle is equipped with LED headlights and daytime running lights, halogen turn signals, and a combination analog and small LCD speedometer.

Under the seat is a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 49cc engine with electronic fuel injection and wind cooling. This powerplant generates a maximum output of 3.65 horsepower at 7,500 rpm. The Super Cub 50 has a 4-speed transmission and boasts an impressive fuel efficiency of 105 km/liter.

According to Honda, the Super Cub 50 can travel approximately 105 kilometers on a single liter of gasoline when ridden by one person at a steady speed of 30 km/h, resulting in a fuel consumption rate of just under 1 liter per 100 kilometers.

Vespa 946 Dragon

The Vespa 946 Dragon is available at select private dealerships for VND 559 million. This is considered an attractive price for the Vespa 946 Dragon, as when it first entered the Vietnamese market, it was priced at nearly VND 2 billion.

The Vespa 946 Dragon was unveiled in January 2024 at an event held in Hong Kong, China. It features a golden metallic paint job with a hand-painted emerald green dragon motif that extends from the front shield to the rear of the scooter. The rims, mirrors, and handlebar grips are color-matched to the body.

The Vespa 946 comes equipped with a full suite of safety features, including an anti-lock braking system (ABS), anti-slip regulation (ASR), and front and rear disc brakes. It rides on premium Michelin City Grip 2 tires, sized 120/70-R12 in the front and 130/70-R12 in the rear, ensuring optimal stability and grip during urban commutes.

In terms of performance, the Vespa 946 Dragon is powered by a 155cc 4-stroke engine from the 3V ie family, rather than the latest iGet engine from the Italian brand. This engine produces 12.9 horsepower and a maximum torque of 12.8 Nm.

Kove 450 Rally

Recently, private motorcycle importers have introduced the Kove 450 Rally to the Vietnamese market. Priced at VND 265 million, the Kove 450 Rally is significantly more affordable than other manual clutch off-road motorcycles in the same segment.

The Kove 450 Rally features a semi-perimeter steel frame to reduce weight and improve handling. The front suspension boasts a massive 49mm diameter, while the rear is equipped with a fully adjustable Yu-An mono-shock absorber.

Additionally, the motorcycle comes with a host of modern features, including an LCD navigation display, high-intensity LED lights, a windshield, an upward-facing exhaust to prevent water ingress, and simple taillights with teardrop-shaped turn signals.

The Kove 450 Rally incorporates numerous advanced safety technologies to ensure a secure riding experience on various off-road terrains. These include front and rear disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system (ABS) that can be turned on or off.

Powering the Kove 450 Rally is a single-cylinder DOHC 449 cc engine with a radiator and dual fans.

Honda PCX 160 ABS 2024 Ultimate Matte Brown

Private dealers are offering the Honda PCX 160 ABS 2024 Ultimate Matte Brown, imported from Indonesia, at a discounted price of VND 77.5 million, a savings of VND 4.5 million from the original price of VND 82 million.

The Honda PCX 160 ABS 2024 Ultimate Matte Brown stands out with its bold black and brown color scheme, complemented by eye-catching copper-colored rims. All lighting on the scooter has been upgraded to LEDs, including the daytime running lights, headlights, and turn signals, while the taillight remains similar to the previous model.

The Honda PCX 160 ABS 2024 Ultimate Matte Brown features a fully digital speedometer that displays essential information such as oil change reminders, CBS brake indicators, turn signals, and the Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) system.
