In recent years, durian has become one of the prominent and key crops of the Central Highlands region, significantly contributing to the billion-dollar export revenue of durian and improving the lives of the local people.
With a range of high-quality products, comprehensive formulas for the growth stages of durian trees, and close accompaniment with the Distribution system and garden owners, NPK Phu My has also been trusted by the people of the Central Highlands for their durian trees. To reassure the farmers, help them further understand the products and fertilization methods, the Petroleum Fertilizer and Chemicals Corporation (PVFCCo) organized trips for representative farmers to visit the Phu My Fertilizer Factory and arranged for market officers and agricultural engineers to work closely with the farmers in their gardens and trees.
In the fruitful autumn of August, the durian trees are heavy with ripe fruits, spreading a rich fragrance. The villages are bustling with trucks carrying durians for export, and everyone is happy as this year’s harvest is abundant and prices are good.
Amidst this joyful atmosphere, PVFCCo, upholding its sustainable development philosophy and commitment to supporting farmers, organized a “Meet the Typical Durian Customers” program on August 22, 2024, in Krong Pak – Dak Lak, the durian capital of the Central Highlands. This special event was dedicated to the “Phu My farmers” who cultivate durian.
The highlight of the program was the presence of Professor Dr. Tran Van Hau, a leading expert on durian, along with experienced agricultural and market specialists. They shared invaluable insights on advanced farming methods using Phu My Fertilizer, helping improve durian quality and increase economic value for farmers. They also discussed market trends in fertilizers and durians.
The event gathered over 300 exemplary farmers from Dak Lak’s famous durian-growing regions, who have contributed to the unique durian brand of this land.
Led by leading experts, durian garden owners, and representatives from NPK Phu My’s production and distribution teams, the participants enthusiastically exchanged experiences, knowledge, and advanced farming solutions. They also shared secrets to optimizing the use of NPK Phu My for durian trees, creating a vibrant and beneficial discussion.
After a day of practical visits, discussions, and exchanges, the program left a meaningful impression. It not only served as a prelude to the Krongpak Durian Festival at the end of August but also marked an important and practical step towards building a sustainable, modern, and efficient agricultural industry.
