For over a year, the family of Mr. T.Đ.M and many households in Thuy Van commune (Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province) have continuously reflected on the fact that the land they live on, which is subject to revocation to serve the project of the Ecological and Sports Tourism Area of Viet Tri city, phase 1 (sub-area D.E.F) invested by FLC Group; However, up to now, although the project has been “terminated” for a long time, they have not yet received compensation, making life difficult.
Specifically, in March 2021, after the People’s Committee of Phu Tho province issued a document approving the investment policy for the first time for the project of Eco-urban and Sports Area of Viet Tri city, phase 1, the family of Mr. T.Đ.M and 1,000 households in the area of Van Phu ward, Chu Hoa and Thuy Van communes of Viet Tri city consecutively received land revocation notices to implement the project.
By the end of 2021, the People’s Committee of Phu Tho province issued Decision No. 3336 on the change of purpose and land allocation to FLC Group to implement the Eco-urban and Sports Area Project of Viet Tri city, phase 1 (FLC Phu Tho), with an investment of more than VND 4,400 billion.
In January 2022, FLC held a ground-breaking ceremony for the project, with the initial goal of building a 5-star Eco-tourism and Resort Complex, including a 15-storey hotel, a golf course, and a high-class commercial and resort urban area…
Right after that, the construction team quickly started constructing a row of townhouses on Truong Chinh street, blocking the entrance to Thuy Van industrial park
According to the project’s perspective, these are rows of townhouses, with a golf course inside.
However, just over a year after the investment policy was approved, in May 2022, the People’s Committee of Phu Tho province issued Decision No. 2284 on the termination of the project and the revocation of the approved investment policy, and the decision to approve the list of investors meeting the preliminary requirements in terms of capacity and experience to implement the project.
Accordingly, the project was “terminated” due to some difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, and the investor had a request and dossier asking for the termination of the project.
However, the termination of the project is one thing, but the fact that more than 3h is the living area of Mr. T.Đ.M’s family and many households in Thuy Van commune have received land revocation notices, as well as documents on the expected compensation plan. But up to now, they have not received any compensation.
Therefore, the households are very confused, not knowing when their houses and land will be revoked. As a result, they do not dare to repair or renovate their houses, although many of them are degraded. On the other hand, the households are also unable to buy, sell, or mortgage their land for business, making life difficult.
Regarding the FLC Phu Tho project, after more than 1 year of “termination”, the mega-project of that day has now been covered with grass and trees.
The area that was expected to be a high-class golf course has now become a goat grazing ground for local people.
