Early in the morning, the Prime Minister conducted a survey in the sea reclamation study area near Nguyen Tat Thanh Street (functioning as a logistics services area, with an area of about 420 hectares). This location is also being considered for the proposed Da Nang Free Trade Area.

Also during this working trip to Da Nang, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference to propagate and implement Resolution No. 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the organization of urban administration and the pilot of a number of mechanisms and policies for the special development of Da Nang city.

According to the Prime Minister, the pilot of the Da Nang Free Trade Area is something new and challenging, but it must be done, no matter how difficult. It is not only the task of the city but also requires the concentration and accompaniment of the central ministries and sectors.

Surveying the proposed sea reclamation area, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh agreed in principle on the need for sea reclamation to create new land and expand the development space. However, it is necessary to carefully study and calculate issues related to reclamation materials and the function of the newly reclaimed land, ensuring that the most beautiful locations are reserved for production and business activities as per the criteria of the free trade area.

The Government Portal will continue to update information on the Prime Minister’s activities during this working trip.
