“Customers are having to buy Ca Mau crab at high prices. Hang wants to bring products from her hometown to many provinces and cities nationwide at stable prices,” female TikToker Hang Du Muc shares on the show “Nghe Chu Chot” produced by TikTok Shop, revealing the behind-the-scenes stories of those in the creative content industry. marketing affiliation.
However, a series of issues were immediately pointed out: How to bring fresh seafood to TikTok Shop, how to have enough signatures because after about 3 days the crab will be crushed, not to mention the return and cancellation orders. So, Hang Du Muc accepted that this was an impossible task and thought of the next product, durian. She told her team that they had to go to the gardens in Dak Lak to see the quality of the durian.
“I feel that the first thing is a waste of time, and the second thing is that it erodes Hang’s health, while Hang is not in good health,” said Le Tuan Linh, Hang Du Muc’s manager, in an interview.
From this zero to many other zeros
“I have to think carefully and take care of my health for the upcoming 7/7 live. The survey can be done by someone else,” the manager told Hang Du Muc.
“No. I do not support this. I am the seller, I want to share with everyone a true story, I want people to see that the products I sell are the things I have directly experienced and tested for quality,” Hang Du Muc asserted.
In the end, the team agreed to do as Hang Du Muc said and went to the Central Highlands to experience it for themselves.
“In the first live broadcast, Hang did not sell anything but only shared the products she was using. Many people asked where to buy the products and asked her to get them, so Hang was motivated to sell on TikTok Shop.
After many days without watching, Hang concluded that she lacked creativity. That’s why people see Hang appearing in live shows with different contexts: by the sea, in the snow, in the rain… If you see potential anywhere, Hang will stay longer, like in Xinjiang. People remember Hang 80% thanks to this land
From this zero to many other zeros, it takes a lot of trust and support from customers. This requires Hang to be truly honest from the start. Truthfulness is the starting point,” Hang Du Muc looks back on her journey to becoming a seller on TikTok Shop.

With the support of another famous TikToker, Hana Ban Me, Hang Du Muc went to Dak Lak to experience the agricultural produce gardens. She believed that “anyway, it will be successful” when she saw the agricultural produce in the gardens with her own eyes.
However, after visiting gardens of honey, sweet potatoes, and durians in Dak Lak, Hang Du Muc sadly realized that the farmers there had not registered to sell on TikTok Shop and did not meet the requirements to sell in the live show. Despite the difficulties and the manager’s objections, Hang Du Muc remained determined to find a source of durian because “if we don’t give it our all, we can’t stop.”
Fate with Foodmap and the live show “causing a storm”
Leaving Dak Lak, Hang Du Muc’s next destination was the durian garden of Sakura Farm in Khanh Son district, Khanh Hoa province, where she met Mai Thanh Thai – Co-founder of FoodMap Asia. Established in December 2018, Foodmap is a startup in the field of high-tech agriculture, specializing in connecting farmers with consumers by directly purchasing, promoting, trading, and operating goods to consumers.
“Hang has too much energy, is very positive, sincere with agricultural produce, and spends a lot of time taking care of and learning about durian trees,” said Thai.

Sakura Farm, which grows the world’s best durian variety, Musang King, was the starting point for Hang Du Muc’s team to solve the criteria for selling on TikTok Shop.
“The team here is very young and applies a lot of technology. The trees in the garden are all numbered, the planting distance is very careful, and the rows are straight. The fertilizer used has a clear origin and is allowed by the Ministry.
To have such delicious durian is thanks to the hard work of the brothers who take care of the trees day and night, treating the trees as friends. Through the units, the products are also brought to the big cities, on platforms such as TikTok Shop to spread. As long as Hang loves the product, Thai is confident to bring all the durian of Khanh Son to Hang’s live show,” Thai assured.
As the live show date approached, FoodMap informed Hang Du Muc that the Musang King durian was at the end of the season. Therefore, to ensure both quantity and quality, Foodmap decided to add Ri 6 variety, taking nearly a month to search and purchase, and work with farmers.
“The brothers had to stay up late and get up early to pick durians for packaging and transportation, and they had to stay up all night to prepare for the live show. When there was enough quantity, they worried about packaging and transportation issues through the floor, because the product might be ripe or damaged when it arrived. The solution is to pack the durians in large baskets and fix them. Regarding the issue of weight loss after transportation, the Foodmap side decided to pack more durian and could afford to lose a small part.
After many days of discussion, the problems were also resolved. Hang hopes that when the durian reaches the hands of customers, it will be really delicious and there will be no accidents during transportation, so as not to disappoint the hard work of the brothers,” Hang Du Muc shared.

As a result, Hang Du Muc’s durian live sale on July 7 “caused a storm” when she sold 12 tons of durian in just 12 minutes. Although there was an incident related to the statements of a representative of the garden in the live show, it cannot be denied that Hang Du Muc’s efforts have helped prove that promoting the consumption of Vietnamese agricultural produce through online platforms is completely feasible.
