This National Day holiday, with its four-day duration and favorable weather conditions, proved to be a boon for the tourism industry in Khanh Hoa province. Cam Ranh International Airport recorded nearly 450 flights and approximately 76,000 passengers, with international visitors accounting for two-thirds of the total. South Korea and China remain the province’s primary tourism markets. Meanwhile, domestic tourists primarily opted for road travel, utilizing personal vehicles to reach their destination.

Tourist attractions on Hon Tre Island and the islands in Nha Phu Lagoon, as well as Nha Trang Bay, witnessed a high influx of visitors. Over 400,000 people were drawn to these entertainment spots, benefiting from stable service prices that contributed to an enjoyable experience. Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang, a tourist from Dak Lak province, shared his positive experience:

“The weather in Nha Trang was pleasant, without any rain or strong winds, making it ideal for outdoor activities. The middle two days of the four-day holiday were the busiest. Beach services were reasonably priced and negotiable since they are mostly provided by locals. I think the prices are very affordable; for example, a trip to three islands, including food, drinks, and entrance fees, only costs 500-700 thousand VND per person, which is a great deal.”

During the four-day National Day holiday, Khanh Hoa province accommodated more than 175,000 staying guests, reflecting a 15% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Tourism revenue is estimated to reach 756 billion VND. The average room occupancy rate across accommodation facilities was around 70%, with some resorts in Bai Dai and beautiful resorts in Nha Trang achieving over 90% occupancy.

Despite the large number of tourists, the province maintained order and safety during the National Day celebrations. Tourism businesses diligently adhered to fire prevention and control measures, security regulations, and food safety standards. However, traffic congestion remained an issue during peak hours in the center of Nha Trang city.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of Khanh Hoa Province’s Department of Tourism, the National Day holiday falling close to the start of the new school year resulted in a slight increase in tourist arrivals.

“The number of visitors was relatively high as children prepared for the new school term. Service prices remained stable, without any sudden increases. Currently, Khanh Hoa province boasts approximately 65,000 accommodation rooms, leading to intense competition among different market segments. As a result, hotels must focus on enhancing their service quality to attract guests,” added Ms. Thanh.
