“TPBank and Eximbank Announce Dividend Payouts for 2023”
Joint Stock Commercial Bank Tien Phong (TPBank – Code: TPB) has just announced that September 24, 2024, is the last registration date to receive dividends in shares for the year 2023 at a rate of 20% (shareholders owning 100 shares on the closing date will receive 20 new shares).
TPBank is expected to issue an additional 440.3 million new shares to pay dividends to shareholders. After the issuance, TPBank’s charter capital will increase from VND 22,016 billion to a maximum of VND 26,420 billion, corresponding to nearly 2,642 billion circulating shares.
Previously, in July, TPBank paid cash dividends to shareholders at a rate of 5%. The total amount paid out by the bank was over VND 1,100 billion.
Along with TPBank, Eximbank has also announced that September 20 is the last registration date to receive dividends for 2023, with a rate of 3% in cash and 7% in shares.
For the cash portion, Eximbank will pay a dividend of 3% (1 share will receive VND 300). With more than 1.7 billion shares currently in circulation, the bank is expected to pay out approximately VND 522 billion for this dividend. The payment date is October 4, 2024.
This is the first time in 10 years that Eximbank has paid cash dividends. The last time the bank paid cash dividends to shareholders was in 2014, with a rate of 4%.
For the dividend in shares, Eximbank plans to issue nearly 121.9 million new shares at a rate of 7% (shareholders owning 100 shares on the closing date will receive 7 new shares). After the issuance, Eximbank’s charter capital is expected to increase from VND 17,469 billion to VND 18,688 billion. The issuance date has not been announced, but it is expected to be within this year.
Previously, a number of banks also announced the closing of the shareholder list to pay dividends in shares in August, including MSB, OCB, SeABank, and VIB.
