A Helping Hand for Flood Victims: Central Retail Vietnam Donates 10,000 Care Packages, Long Chau Offers Free Medicine, and Dat Xanh Provides Temporary Housing Assistance.

Recent storms and floods have wreaked havoc in many provinces and cities across Northern Vietnam. In the true spirit of compassion and solidarity, several businesses have stepped up to provide timely support and assistance to the affected communities.

Central Retail Vietnam has provided 10,000 packages of essential goods (including a box of instant noodles and a box of drinking water each) to families affected by storms and floods, with a total cost of approximately VND 1.25 billion.

“Employees at localities with GO! and Big C supermarkets will participate and coordinate with local authorities and agencies to directly distribute relief goods to households affected by storms and floods,” shared Mr. Olivier Langlet, CEO of Central Retail Vietnam.

Long Chau Pharmacy, a member of FPT Retail (FRT), has also announced that it will provide free medicine and first aid kits to support people in flood-affected areas.

Specifically, for those with minor injuries from cleaning up or those suffering from colds, fever, or diarrhea, Long Chau Pharmacy will offer free disinfection and bandaging to prevent infections. They will also distribute free first aid kits containing essential items such as gauze, bandages, antiseptic solution, and medication for colds, fever, and diarrhea.

Long Chau has also launched a 24/7 hotline, 1800.6928 (toll-free), to provide urgent support for those in need of immediate medication.

Long Chau Pharmacy offers free medicine and first aid kits to support people in flood-affected areas.

This program is applicable at Long Chau Pharmacies in areas severely affected by Typhoon Yagi, including Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Bac Kan, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Yen Bai, Phu Tho, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Bac Kan, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Tuyen Quang, Hai Duong, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Lai Chau, Son La, Ninh Binh, Hung Yen, Thanh Hoa, and Hoa Binh.

Earlier, to promptly share difficulties and support the people in areas severely affected by floods after Typhoon Yagi, airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, and Bamboo Airways announced free transportation for relief goods.
