The Golden Ring’s Price Surge Continues

This morning (September 12th), the price of gold rings surged once again, climbing by 150,000 VND per tael to reach an impressive 78.65 million VND per tael. In contrast, the selling price of SJC gold remained stagnant at 80.5 million VND per tael.

Saigon Jewelry Company increased the price of its gold rings by VND 150,000 per tael compared to yesterday, reaching VND 77.4 – 78.65 million per tael for buying and selling.

DOJI and Phu Quy Groups listed their gold ring prices at VND 77.5 – 78.65 million per tael, an increase of VND 150,000 per tael for both buying and selling sides compared to the trading session on September 11th.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company quoted their gold ring price at VND 77.48 – 78.63 million per tael.

The buying and selling price difference for gold rings is VND 1.1 – 1.25 million per tael, depending on the brand. Since the beginning of the year, domestic gold price index has surged by 25%. The upward trend in the domestic gold ring price is attributed to the steady global gold price hovering around $2,500 per ounce.

SJC gold bars are listed by gold companies and banks at VND 78.5 – 80.5 million per tael for buying and selling. SJC gold bars are sold out, but people can still buy them online from state-owned banks.

At the same time, the global gold price stood at $2,512 per ounce, equivalent to VND 76 million per tael after conversion using the current exchange rate.

The State Bank of Vietnam set the central exchange rate at 24,212 VND per USD, an increase of 8 VND compared to the previous rate. At commercial banks, the USD exchange rate fluctuated around 24,460 – 24,830 VND per USD.
