Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province, Vo Tan Duc, met with the Department of Construction regarding urban beautification, social housing development, and the real estate market, implementing the Master Plan for Dong Nai province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050.

A real estate project in Dong Nai
According to the report by the Department of Construction, the progress towards the goal of 10,000 social housing units for the period 2021-2025 is still lagging. The Department proposed that the People’s Committee direct the two cities of Bien Hoa and Long Khanh and the three districts of Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, and Trang Bom to review and select at least one area of over 10 hectares each to develop social housing complexes with complete infrastructure.

Regarding real estate projects in the province that are facing challenges and obstacles in their implementation, the Department proposed categorizing and addressing the issues into three groups for effective problem-solving.
On the topic of urban beautification, despite the provincial People’s Committee issuing directives at the end of 2023, the Department assessed that there has not been much progress. They suggested prioritizing tasks that would bring about noticeable changes for Bien Hoa city, such as improving parks, playgrounds, parking lots, establishing squares, developing model urban specialty streets, and providing public restrooms.
Additionally, the Department of Construction also reported and proposed solutions regarding the construction industry’s human resources, key measures to realize the provincial master plan, and strategies to promote the development of Bien Hoa city as a first-class urban area.
Chairman Vo Tan Duc acknowledged that compared to neighboring localities, the urban development of Dong Nai province is still limited, with only two cities, Bien Hoa and Long Khanh, at present.
For Bien Hoa city, the immediate focus should be on the development of Hiep Hoa urban area, conversion of Bien Hoa Industrial Park 1, and addressing the planning issues of sub-region C4. Implementing infrastructure-connecting projects and developing public services are crucial to enhancing the quality of life for the city’s residents.
The Chairman agreed with the Department’s proposal on social housing development to ensure the achievement of set goals. Regarding the real estate market, he instructed the Department of Construction to take the lead in coordinating with other departments and sectors to resolve obstacles for over 130 real estate projects in the province. He also emphasized the need to report to relevant central agencies to find solutions and promote the development of this market.
