The Vietnamese automobile market is full of potential, with the car ownership rate per 1,000 people in Vietnam currently reaching about 63 cars compared to more than 300 cars in Thailand. The average market growth rate is expected to reach 14%-16%/year by 2030, with a total consumption of 1 – 1.1 million cars. By 2045, it is expected to reach 4.5 – 4.7 million cars.

In the past 10 years, the growth rate of the Vietnamese automobile market has been one of the highest in the world. Many important policies from the government to develop the automobile industry are being built and will be soon approved to promote production and increase the localization rate.

“We always give our full support, considering the implementation of this cooperation as a commitment of the whole province, and will do everything possible to ensure the success of the strategic signing between the two corporations, as expressed in the memorandum of understanding that has been signed. I hope that the tripartite cooperation will be successful in the long run ahead,” emphasized Mr. Ngo Dong Hai.
