As per Apple’s regulations, the iPhone 16 series will officially go on sale in Vietnam from September 27th, and many dealers have chosen to start delivering the phones from midnight onwards. For instance, ShopDunk plans to welcome approximately 100 of the first owners of the official iPhone 16 series in Vietnam at two locations, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, in an event lasting from approximately 10:30 PM on September 26th to 2:00 AM on the 27th. Here, customers will be able to enjoy music and mini-games before officially receiving their products.
The World Mobile Group also announced that they would be handing over the first 200 devices to customers on the night of the 27th at two locations, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Meanwhile, some other retail systems will also be organizing the sale of the iPhone 16 series early in the morning of the 27th. Notably, dealers mainly deliver to customers who have pre-ordered, and many models are already sold out.
According to initial information from dealers, the iPhone 16 Pro Max accounts for over 50% of pre-orders, the iPhone 15 Pro accounts for about 30%, and the remaining are the 16 and 16 Plus models. Typically, in previous years, the Pro and Pro Max versions could account for up to 90% of pre-orders.
It is understandable that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have seen improved pre-order numbers this year, as the specifications of these two versions have been upgraded and are no longer much different from the Pro version. Additionally, the new colors of the standard version are also quite attractive. On the other hand, the new desert gold color of the Pro and Pro Max versions quickly sold out and recorded price differences or requests for additional purchases at many dealerships. The second most popular color is white, while titanium natural (the hottest color last year) is only in third place.
Compared to previous years, the iPhone 16 Pro has also received more attention this year as its specifications have been pushed up to be equivalent to the Pro Max, with only a smaller screen size. With both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max increasing in size by 0.2 inches, some people tend to choose the more compact and easy-to-handle Pro version, which suits their usage needs. The iPhone 16 Pro now has a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen. Both use the Apple A18 Pro chip, Super Retina XDR OLED 120Hz display, a triple-camera system, and a dedicated camera button called Camera Control. Both models also feature a titanium frame. The iPhone 16 Pro starts at 28.99 million VND for the 128GB version, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at 34.99 million VND for the 256GB version.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus use the A18 Bionic chip, a dual-camera system, and an aluminum frame. They are priced at 22.99 million VND and 25.99 million VND, respectively, both for the 128GB version.
