On the morning of September 25, as part of the Forum, Ms. Thao attended the inauguration of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (C4IR). As one of the founding members of C4IR, the female billionaire expressed her honor and pride.
At the same time, the billionaire also shared that Sovico has implemented numerous large-scale projects at the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park. Notably, Sovico established the Aviation Technology Center at the Vietjet Aviation Academy, in collaboration with Airbus, to train over 50,000 students annually. This initiative has created a high-quality workforce of pilots, engineers, and aviation technology specialists capable of operating more than 100 aircraft.
The Chairwoman of Sovico also highlighted that the Aviation Technology Center at the Vietjet Aviation Academy will contribute to the formation of a regional-scale aircraft maintenance service center. This facility will provide advanced technical and aircraft maintenance services for the international market and be prepared for the production of aircraft components and auxiliary technologies for the aviation industry right here in Vietnam.
Prior to this, at the meeting of the Government Standing Committee with major enterprises on September 21, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao emphasized: Let’s transform Vietnam into an aviation hub for the region and the world. Given our advantageous location, we should promptly invest in and upgrade our international airport system to become a transshipment center for passengers and cargo, just like Bangkok, Singapore, and South Korea.

VietJet also stimulated innovation in the aviation industry, ranging from fuel technology and flight operations to revitalizing local airports and attracting foreign investment in training, technology, and component manufacturing.
