The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction has reported to the Ministry of Construction on the situation and progress made in addressing the difficulties and obstacles of 64 real estate projects, as referred by the Task Force of the Prime Minister.

To tackle the challenges faced by these 64 projects, as well as other projects in the city, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued a regulation on the operation of the city’s Task Force on October 3, 2023.

In the third quarter of 2024, the Task Force organized a meeting, bringing the total number of meetings held since its establishment to 10. They have issued 15 notices, providing solutions for 30 projects.

Of these, eight projects have had their legal obstacles completely resolved, and 22 projects are still facing issues that are being addressed by relevant departments and units in accordance with regulations.

The eight projects that have been fully unblocked are: The Sóng Việt Complex by Quốc Lộc Phát Joint Stock Company; social housing projects by VTHouse Joint Stock Company and Tâm Giao Joint Stock Company; a project by Suntory Pepsico Vietnam Beverage Company Limited; Metro Star Commercial and Residential Area in Thu Duc City by Metro Star Investment Joint Stock Company;

Adjustment of the Celadon City project progress by Gamuda Land Joint Stock Company; a 1.1-hectare project in Hoc Mon town, Hoc Mon district by Western Saigon Joint Stock Company; The Song Da – Thang Long high-rise residential area in District 7 by Hung Thinh Incons Joint Stock Company; and the Binh Thanh District Education project by Tri Tue Company.
