Four communes in Vinh City will be converted into wards.

The above resolution approves the incorporation of Cua Lo town’s entire natural area of 29.09 sq. km and a population of 77,813 people, Nghi Xuan commune’s natural area of 6.17 sq. km and a population of 11,884 people, Phuc Tho commune’s natural area of 6.12 sq. km and a population of 10,409 people, Nghi Thai commune’s natural area of 9.50 sq. km and a population of 11,006 people, and Nghi Phong commune’s natural area of 10.35 sq. km and a population of 11,831 people, all in Nghi Loc district, into Vinh City.

At the same time, it was decided to disband the People’s Court and the People’s Procuracy of Cua Lo town, Nghe An province. The People’s Court and the People’s Procuracy of Vinh City, Nghe An province, are responsible for succeeding the tasks and powers of the People’s Court and the People’s Procuracy of Cua Lo town, Nghe An province, in accordance with the law.

The resolution arranges the administrative units at the commune level under Vinh City as follows:

Establish Hung Dong ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.42 sq. km and a population of 17,784 people of Hung Dong commune.

Establish Hung Loc ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.72 sq. km and a population of 26,321 people of Hung Loc commune.

Establish Nghi Phu ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 6.47 sq. km and a population of 25,032 people of Nghi Phu commune.

Establish Nghi Duc ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 5.69 sq. km and a population of 9,365 people of Nghi Duc commune.

At the same time, incorporate the entire natural area of 0.50 sq. km and a population of 8,692 people of Hong Son ward into Vinh Tan ward; incorporate the entire natural area of 0.67 sq. km and a population of 12,618 people of Doi Cung ward and the entire natural area of 0.87 sq. km and a population of 13,713 people of Le Mao ward into Quang Trung ward.
