The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has issued a document assigning agencies to address difficulties and problems in repairing apartments and common property in apartment buildings managed by the Center for Housing Management and Construction Appraisal under the Department of Construction.

Previously, in late July, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee allocated 3,944 state-owned apartments to the People’s Committees of districts, counties, and Thu Duc City for these localities to approve management and use plans for resettlement purposes.

The People’s Committees of districts, counties, and Thu Duc City were required to report detailed information on the actual number of apartments in need of repair, as well as the progress and plans for resettlement arrangement.

Based on this plan, the Center for Housing Management and Construction Appraisal will carry out the repair of apartments and common property in apartment buildings.

Nearly 4,000 allocated apartments are divided into three groups. Group 1 comprises all vacant apartments in a building that are still unoccupied and have not been assigned for use. Group 2 includes vacant apartments that are located among occupied ones but have not established an apartment management board yet.

For these first two groups, the Center for Housing Management and Construction Appraisal will take the lead in repairing, ensuring the progress as proposed by the localities.

Group 3 consists of vacant apartments located among other occupied ones, and where an apartment management board has already been established.

For this group, the Center for Housing Management and Construction Appraisal is assigned to repair the apartments and coordinate with the management board to report to the Department of Construction on the plan for repairing the common property of the apartment building.
