On November 21st, Nhã Nam’s Facebook fanpage announced impressive sales figures from their recent livestream event held in conjunction with Mr. Hoang Nam Tien, Vice Chairman of FPT University. A total of 1,949 books were sold during the session, with 974,681 product views, 27,436 product clicks, and 72,700 livestream views. Even in the final minutes, over 900 viewers remained tuned in, testament to Mr. Tien’s draw and influence.
This was not Mr. Tien’s first foray into book sales on TikTok Shop. In July, his collaboration with Thái Hà Books resonated with audiences, resulting in over 800 orders and generating over VND 190 million in revenue within a two-hour period.
The event saw the sale of 7 sets of books by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, valued at VND 3 million each, and 100 sets of books curated by Mr. Tien, priced at VND 600,000 per set, all of which sold out.
A month later, Mr. Tien partnered with Alpha Books for another successful livestream session that lasted over three hours and attracted approximately 143,000 viewers. At its peak, the livestream had 3,500 concurrent viewers. Alpha Books confirmed that this was the highest-grossing book sales event by a creator/KOL on TikTok Shop, raking in more than VND 300 million.

On September 21st, Mr. Tien joined forces with Saigon Books for another successful endeavor, generating over VND 100 million in revenue within the first hour and concluding the session with a total revenue of nearly VND 250 million.
Beyond his leadership role at FPT, where he has held numerous key positions over the years, Mr. Hoang Nam Tien is also an author and a passionate advocate for reading and literature. He often shares his insights on exceptional books, encouraging others to embrace the joy of reading.
“Just as there are recurring historical lessons in war, and case studies in business, it’s essential to read the best books available,” Mr. Tien advises. “However, reading alone won’t make you a great entrepreneur. After reading, take the time to summarize the book. For a 500-page book, challenge yourself to create a 15-page summary. Then, write down three pages of actionable steps you’ll take as a result of reading that book. That’s how you’ll become exceptional.”
