On November 27, representatives from the Bac Ninh Department of Construction announced that the locality had essentially completed the relocation of nearly 1,500 foreigners from social housing projects.
There were challenges in grasping the situation of foreigners living in social housing projects and relocating them. These included online temporary residence registration by foreigners and a thin force of functional forces, making it difficult to monitor and manage foreigners who did not comply with regulations.
There was a lack of coordination in managing the residents among local authorities, functional forces, and investors, as well as the management and operation boards of the apartment buildings.
Additionally, there was no mechanism in place to deal with foreigners who refused entry into their apartments, making the inspection process incomplete. Language barriers also presented challenges in management.
According to the Bac Ninh Department of Construction, in the coming time, the locality will continue to inspect and review the management and use of social housing by eligible buyers, tenants, and lessees. They will also require social housing apartment owners to ensure compliance with regulations and strictly handle any violations.
The public security force will not confirm information, services, or other related matters during the residential activities of foreign objects in social housing apartment buildings in the area.
As of now, Bac Giang province has also completed the relocation of nearly 500 foreigners from social housing projects in the area.
