In 2022, the Haiphong City People’s Council approved a proposal to construct social housing while also addressing the housing needs of residents in old apartment buildings. As per the proposal, the city will develop social housing projects in several districts: Ngo Quyen, Le Chan, Kien An, and Do Son.

Notably, in Ngo Quyen district, the city has commenced the construction of the Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien social housing project, located on Le Lai street. This area is in the city center, just over 2 km from the Opera House and a bridge away from Vu Yen island, where a Vinhomes project is underway.

The Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien (Harbor Residence) social housing project was inaugurated by the Haiphong People’s Committee in March 2023, with a total investment of nearly VND 4,900 billion by Thai Holding Joint Stock Company as the investor.

The Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien social housing project is being built on a nearly 17-hectare area, comprising 10 apartment buildings, each with 15 floors and over 4,450 apartments.

According to information released by the investor in June 2024: The apartments at the Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien social housing project will range from 29 sq. m to 55 sq. m, with selling prices ranging from VND 550 million to VND 1.2 billion per unit, and rental prices ranging from VND 100,000 to VND 130,000 per sq. m.

In addition to social housing, Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien will also feature 163 commercial units within a 7-story building.

After approximately 20 months of construction, many of the apartment buildings in the Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien social housing project have taken shape.

It is expected that in 2025, the Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien social housing project will be completed.

Upon completion, the Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien social housing project will not only meet the housing needs of the people but also improve land use efficiency and enhance the urban landscape of the existing residential area…

Not far from the Total Warehouse 3 Lac Vien project is the 384 Le Thanh Tong Moonbay Residence social housing project, which spans 1.9 hectares and includes 3 apartment buildings, each with 29 floors, and nearly 1,300 apartments. The announced selling price for the first phase of Moonbay Residence is about VND 18.9 million per square meter (including VAT but excluding maintenance fees).
