On November 26, the Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment announced the preliminary assessment results of the capacity and experience of the investor who submitted the registration dossier for the construction project of the new Me Linh Urban Area in Me Linh and Van Khe communes, Me Linh district. Taseco Land Joint Stock Company (Taseco Land) is the only qualified investor.
The company is located on the 1st floor, NO2-T1 building, Diplomatic Corps Ward, Xuan Tao street, Xuan Tao ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi city.
Previously, the Me Linh New Urban Area project was called for investment from July 26, 2024, to August 31, 2024. However, on October 29, 2024, the Hanoi People’s Committee continued to extend the registration time for this project until November 20, 2024, as Taseco Land was the only registered investor at that time.
The new Me Linh Urban Area has an area of nearly 41 hectares, mainly of agricultural land allocated to households, public agricultural land managed by the People’s Committee of the commune, and interspersed with inland canals and transport systems.
The expected product structure includes 657 low-rise units (3-5 floors) and a 10-story social housing building with approximately 809 units. In addition, the project will feature two 3-9-story commercial buildings, educational and medical facilities, a cultural and sports center, green spaces, and water bodies. The projected population is around 5,060 people.
The total investment capital for the project is over VND 3,200 billion, including project implementation costs of over VND 2,900 billion and compensation, support, site clearance, and resettlement costs of over VND 300 billion.
The project is expected to be implemented within four years (2024 – 2028). Once completed, the new urban area will have a synchronous technical and social infrastructure, contributing to a new face for Me Linh district.
